You didn't mention the movie "Bound by Honor" later changed to "Blood in Blood out"
where he actually lived through the whole movie! It was one of his best
performances, and my favorite all time movie. It's one of the most realistic
prison movies there is, and a great story of life on the streets and in the
joint, and how you can get from one to the other.

From: Eddie Rivera To: "'tmiller@cimmeria.ns.gatech.edu'" Date: Fri, 29 Jan 1999 12:43:21 -0800 Hey T-miller. I have an inside tip for you. I'm an independant film maker based out of Orange County. Mr. Trejo will be in my film "Six Shots of Tequila" which will be shooting in Mexico in April of 99. Be on the look out for him. He's gonna be great! Send me your address and I'll send you additional information on my film and the cast and producers. Great web page by the way. Peace. Pablo. Pablo (Eddie) Rivera Writer, Director, Producer "Six Shots of Tequila"
I'll tell you what, I need to call Danny this weekend and chat about some things. I'll be sure to tell him about your page. He is a really great guy, very humble and down to earth. I'm sure he'll be very appreciative. The film is a coming of age story about a teen named Oscar, played by another wonderful actor Demetrius Navarro (SOLDIER BOYS, 187, FRIDAY, t.v show E.R.) and his grandfather that gives him wisdom. I call it a love story with a twist of lime. It's really different and has many twists to it. I can't tell you much because I don't want to give away the surprises, but I will tell you that Danny's role will be slightly different than what he's been playing. Which may I say has been excellent all along. I'll send you the info shortly. Have a great day. Pablo
Thanks for your help years ago. Glad to see you are doing great you were always a nice guy behind all the extereior stuff. I am glad to see you are greatful everyday to God. If you are ever in Aspen Colorado look me up. I have been training in Tae Kwon do for the past 10 years (Its a little easier on your head than boxing was). Sincerely, Bob
Hi! Just a quicky to say I discovered DT in a French film called 'Le Jaguar' you no doubt know about. I'd never heard of the guy before, but I was so impressed by his performance as 'Kumare' in the film (put Jean Reno to shame I thought!) I looked him up and found your site and have seen some of his films since... but his performance in 'Le Jaguar' remains my favourite, so I can't help thinking maybe it would be a good idea to include something about this role of his on your page? He has a relatively important part in it, and the fight scene at the end is priceless! He's a convincing thug of course, but also convincingly funny and convincingly scared in it, with few lines. And no moustache!!! Well, just a thought. Thanks for the site. Murielle
I just saw Danny a few hours ago, he was here in San Antonio while taking a break from filming "Spy Kids" in Austin. He plays the brother of Antonio Bandera's. I ran into him at my wife's grandparents house in which he is related. He was very cordial and nice (totally opposite from his movies). He shared some Hollywood stories and I got to meet his wife. From what I understand he is still in S.A as we speak at my wife's grandparents! Veronica
I was looking for web pages on latino film stars and I could not find one on Danny Trejo. I feel you did a wonderful job taking it upon yourself to do this one in his honor. I would like to suggest that Danny is not only a great "bad ass" actor but also a survivor of the system and from what I heard a good speaker. Maybe if you can find more stuff about him add it to your web page. He may not be the greatest role model for our Latino youth, but there is a lot of youngster out there that are going or have gone what Trejo went through in his earlier years and this kids can really relate to him. Once again thank you for doing this. rosa
